Can psychiatrists help you get a job if you have failed over 40 interviews which suggest a problem other than qualifications such as personality/social dysfunction?
I would have to ask…are you having issues in any other areas of your life? If so, I would recommend a psychologist vs. psychiatrist as most psychiatrists prescribe medicine and do very little talk therapy. A psychologist, in my opinion, would be better. I am not in the medical profession and you would be better served to speak with your GP before making that decision. If you only struggle with interviews and all else is going well for you, a seasoned recruiter can help you with how to put your best foot forward in an interview. Let them know that you struggle with interviews and ask if they can provide good tips, books, or articles that might help you. You may find you are going after the wrong jobs.
Again, if you are having other issues in your life, it certainly won’t hurt to speak with a psychologist.
I hope this helps!
Good luck!
