Best to present a resignation letter…

Dear Sir/Madam,

After much consideration in making a tough decision, I have decided to accept another position and terminate my employment with (Company name). The position that I have accepted came as an unexpected opportunity and not from any dissatisfaction with my current position or any of my co-workers. Many factors were weighed in making this decision, the decisive ones being the opportunities for professional and personal growth which exist in the firm that I am going to.

I have enjoyed my stay with (Company name) and feel that I worked to my fullest capabilities. I would like to thank you and (Company name) for giving me the opportunity to work here. It has been a work experience that I have learned and benefited from immensely.

My termination date is (date).

Hope this helps!

Laurie Jane
