I cancelled an interview a day before a scheduled interview and the recruiter told me that, “I cut a meeting short so that I could talk to you. We aren’t interested in having you work here.” How do I respond?
I will assume it is an internal recruiter for a company that you applied for a job vs. an independent recruiter. Not sure why you would respond with anything other than “I apologize for any inconvenience my cancellation may have caused, it could not be helped. Thank you for your consideration!” Then move on…
Life happens and sometimes it really cannot be helped. Make sure if at all possible you show up for all appointments on time and if you have to cancel, try to give as much notice as possible.
This one was not meant to be!
